Melanie was a young woman from a very sheltered background, having to travel onsite. When stressed she tended to pass out and this was worrying Management. We worked with her primarily on her health and managing stress.

“Firstly, thanks for the coaching and your effort in preparing my mind set for the onsite visit. … The one-on-one sessions we had were very useful in gaining confidence in me to take up the new work and in facing the challenges over there.… There were instances where I had to support more than one analyst which I believe I managed well with effective communication amid the system issues I had.”

Our fairly large team was on the edge of change, some of it good and some of it not. Some of the clients were looking to consolidate and let go of some of the support, which meant we’d have to cut our teams down substantially.
Anticipating these shifts in the account, I was coached by Anna and Rahul, primarily focusing on me building the muscle to manage this change with minimal stress. I was able to slow down significantly before responding and instead of having to cut my team down, I got the client to explore other areas to use the folks they’d already trained in their line of work.
The most important outcome for me is how calm I am in the midst of all this; in the past when I’d lose sleep, today I come to work well rested, fully able to focus on the matters at hand.

Sarah was having a very hard time managing her male team member, Manu. Culturally, gender has been known to play a large part in how a woman boss is accepted by her male colleagues. To add fuel to the fire, Sasha had been his peer till a couple of weeks prior.
HR nominated her for coaching, wanting to ensure the safety of the account. Our intervention didn't need both parties to be present to resolve this conflict, nor did we need the details of the challenges she perceived.

"I honestly thought it was awesome! ... Although it is a technique completely different than anything I’ve experienced, it was more practical than anything I’ve experienced.
We analysed a situation that happened which I would’ve liked that the outcome would’ve been different. … It’s going to sound weird, but it empowered me … I now feel that I can take control of a similar situation and say or do the things that I want in order to have the outcome that I want
I believe that in a work environment like ours (very stressful and hectic), this exercise enables you to just stop for a moment and re-think things in order to do them correctly. I would definitely recommend this to everyone I know."
